Years of knitting and teaching math gave me a great foundation when I discovered beading through a friend. Beading combines my love of geometric designs and the fun and challenge of creating unusual designs with interesting colors. I get enormous pleasure from engaging both the “mathy” and creative sides of my brain through the beading process.
Now retired from teaching, I can make a bigger space for art in my life. My contemporary beadwork is the product of multiple inspirations including Art Deco, Native American and African traditional designs and geometric patterns.
